ASTEC Oil & Gas Ltd Warns– Beware of SPAM Emails - 30/09/2008
Have you received an email from ‘ASTEC Oil UK’ or ‘Merrox Recruitment Agency’ or ‘Monster’ when you have not expected it? If so delete this email, it is a SPAM email and it has nothing to do with ASTEC Oil & Gas Ltd whatsoever and we strongly advise that you do not respond to it or to its contents.
The email comes under the disguise of monster.co.uk, with the subject title: ‘Monster – Job Opportunities in London, United Kingdom’ and it appears to be from ‘Merrox Recruitment Agency’ and calling themselves ASTEC Oil UK.
The message of the email asks the receiver to travel to London for a job interview and to contact the ‘British Immigration Service’ for immediate processing of a Travel Visa documents. The email then gives contact details of an address, email addresses and telephone numbers of the ‘British Immigration Service’ which are not genuine. We have contacted the immigration office directly; who have confirmed this is not genuine information and has advised that any one seeking employment in the UK from abroad is to first contact their country’s embassy for advice on how to apply for a UK work permit.
In addition, ASTEC Oil & Gas Ltd would like to reassure all who use or wish to use our company that we do not conduct business in such a manner as described in the email. We will never write to you in an email to ask you to do any actions of this type or offer packages to entice people to travel to the UK.
If you receive an email like this then it is our strongest advice to delete it.
